Do you know where your dogs are that you have sold?? Are they in danger??? Read this letter and find out. Page 1 Page 2 Page 3
"UPDATE": A visit was made by an Animal Control Officer from Contra Costa County Animal Control, on or about February 22, 1999. A citation was issued to Chauncey Wilson for no licenses on eight dogs he stated were at his residence on San Pablo Dam Rd. (I think he has 14 others hidden away. He told me there were twenty one in total.)
Following the visit, I received word he had surrendered five collies (in poor condition) to the Animal Control Center. He asked they be put to sleep. The Center Manage evidently suggested he phone me regarding Kelby. On the 26th, I received a telephone call from C. Wilson. He asked for another chance, I discussed his past actions, also refusing to honor the Sales Contract he had signed. I told him Kelby had to given up to my California agent. He said no, but he would deliver her to his veterinarains with her papers. This he did on the evening of the 25th.
Dr. Lamp, veterinarian, telephoned me (from San Pablo) to say Kelby was there. They had given her a bath as she “reeked” (his word), her coat was yellow (keep in mind she is a white collie). She was also given a treatment against Scabies/Mange. Wilson’s dogs evidently have/had this problem.
Edith and I are hoping she will be shipped back to us soon.
Our sincere thanks to go the two persons who have been so helpful in bringing about Kelby’s return. Without their help and dedication to collies and dogs this happy ending would not have taken place. We will not disclose their names to avoid any retaliation from any party.
DO NOT SELL to a Chauncey Wilson, if you are a concerned breeder.
Thanks also to Gail Giles as our e-mail go between.
